IQuilt Winterfest Ice Skating Rink is open through January 8, 2017. Stop by the pop-up rink located next to the Pump House in Bushnell Park any chilly afternoon for free ice skating, including free skate rentals and how-to-skate classes for all ages.
Hours: 11 am to 8 pm
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, rink hours are noon to 4 pm
New Year’s Eve, rink hours are noon until midnight in celebration of First Night Hartford.
First Night Hartford is back for a 28th year of ringing in the new year in style. This free, family-friendly celebration features admission to the city’s top museums and cultural attractions, like the Wadsworth, the Old State House, the Bushnell Carousel, and more. Fireworks pop off at 6 pm and the stroke of midnight, and in between, the streets of Downtown Hartford will be strewn with music, food trucks, fortune tellers, and much, much more.
