From “Random Acts of Kindness” to “Ultimate Sportsman Stick” these students worked hard to achieve first, second or third place at the Hartford Public School’s 25th Annual Citywide S.T.E.M. Expo/ Science Fair cosponsored by SINA.
Future scientist from Pre- K to high school brought their experiments to Trinity College’s Koppel Community Center in Hartford, CT on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Judges from SINA’s member institutions and outside community members judged four different categories: Filming, Gaming and Apps, Invention, and Traditional Science.
The winners were awarded on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Connecticut Science Center. The scholars had the privilege of hearing from Dr. Oneeka Willimas, Surgeon at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston, MA and author of the illustrated children’s books “Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo’s Mission to Pluto” and “Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo’s Meteorite Mission”. They winners received silver, gold or platinum medals and glassed framed certificates (the class winners received a trophy).
