Public Safety

SINA views Public Safety as a vital component to a comprehensive neighborhood renewal strategy. In collaboration with the Hartford Police Department (HPD), the Spanish American Merchant’s Association, and SINA’s member institutions security forces, SINA helps develop strategies and initiatives that effectively protect and improve the quality of life throughout the Southside of Hartford, Connecticut. SINA supports HPD’s Neighborhood Policing Plan by working to increase communication between the department and neighborhood merchants and residents. Collaborative initiatives include Quality of Life public forums and trust building programs.
