Southside Institutions Neighborhood Alliance (SINA) is a partnership between Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Hartford Hospital and Trinity College, a partnership that works cooperatively with the community to develop leadership and improve the economic, physical and social characteristics of Hartford’s Frog Hollow, Barry Square and South Green neighborhoods. SINA serves as a catalyst to foster a vibrant urban community where residents, employees, and businesses, can enjoy a high quality of life, and opportunities for success.

Through its 30-year history, SINA has evolved as a trusted partner and a highly-effective force for positive change in the neighborhood it resides in. Its success has also brought it national recognition as a model for community revitalization.

Revitalizing neighborhoods is a complex task because there are so many deep-rooted causes behind their decline. Like similar urban areas around the country, the community close to the SINA institutions has been the victim of major structural economic changes.
