The CT Health I-Team, ConnectiCare, and Hispanic Health Council will sponsor a forum on diabetes with a focus on healthy eating on Thursday, September 29, from 5 to 7:30 PM at The Lyceum, 227 Lawrence Street. Becky Stevens-MCGuigan, executive Chef at Billings Forge, will offer a sampling of diabetes-friendly food choices and a cooking demonstration. A discussion and question and answer session will follow. Panelists include Dr. Latha Dulipsingh of St. Francis Hospital, Jane Querido of Hartford Hospital, Yolanda Burt of Hartford Public Schools, and Dr. Robert Oberstein of Hartford Hospital. The moderator is Lorenna Monroig of Telemundo Hartford/Springfield.
