Community Partners
A part of the foundation for SINA’s comprehensive neighborhood renewal model is emphasizing the importance of working with neighborhood residents and businesses to improve conditions identified as key principles to sustainability. This attitude can be found right in the organization’s mission statement: “To work cooperatively with the community to develop leadership and improve the economic, physical and social characteristics of Hartford’s Frog Hollow, Barry Square and South Green neighborhoods.”
To achieve this goal, SINA works as a catalyst for the stability and strength of the neighborhoods. It develops and reinforces relationships that improve the community and involves a broad cross-section of the key constituents in ways that build buy-in and ownership of change. By embracing the variety of community organizations as partners, SINA is confident that its target neighborhoods will continue to be vibrant urban communities where residents, employees and businesses can enjoy an attractive quality of life and opportunity for success. SINA has evolved as a trusted partner and a highly effective force for positive change in the neighborhood that surrounds its member institutions. SINA also utilizes other avenues for expanding outreach into the greater Hartford community including communication and cooperating with numerous organizations.
