Community Resource Fair Prepares Residents of Hartford’s Southside for Stimulus Opportunities (Summerr 2009)
It was a chilly winter, and not just the weather. The cold economic climate affected jobs, housing and families, and left many longing for a little sunshine in the forecast. With Stimulus Funds looming bright on the horizon, the Community Resource Fair held on March 31 brought some blue skies to the Southside. More than a hundred people attended the fair where they found information on education, employment, housing and health services, and opportunities that could help them get ready for the funds coming to Hartford.
