Hartford Marathon’s is Saturday, October 8th from 8:00am to 5:00pm roads in and around the city will be closed for sometime starting at 5:00am.
The 26.2-mile race through the riverfront of Hartford and East Hartford is in its 23rd year. To register to race or volunteer and for more information please visit www.hartfordmarathon.com.
For those living in the downtown are, to avoid towing roads should be cleared of cars by 5:00am.
Roads will reopen as runners pass the area and police will direct cross traffic during the race when possible. But you should expect delays and detours.
Be aware, between approximately 6:00am and 2:00pm, there will be temporary service disruptions and delays for downtown Hartford, West Hartford and East Hartford bus service, on both CTtransit and CTfastrak.
